SLSpice - conversion of S-Parameters into Spice equivalent models

SLSpice allows for fast import of measured or simulated Scattering Parameters of components, electronic devices or mechatronic systems and for accurate conversion into Spice models.
SLSpice can be used as stand-alone tool with any Spice equivalent simulator or in combination with either PCBMod or CableMod for including the generated Spice equivalent models in efficient SI and EMC simulations of PCB and cable harness systems.

Why is SLSpice so valuable to you?
* Easy to use
* Support of Touchstone file format
* Automatic conversion of measured or simulated Scattering Parameter data into Spice equivalent models
* Editor allowing changes directly within the Touchstone file
* Direct or iterative calculation for fast or most accurate generation of Spice models
* Direct validity check of generated Spice models
* Results can be used in all Spice compatible simulators

Getting Spice equivalent models of components or mechatronic systems for SI and EMC simulations can be quite difficult. Either because they are not distributed by the manufacturers or because they just don't exist. With a common VNA or with suitable simulation tools such as PCBMod or CableMod you are able to measure or create Scattering Parameter curves which can then be saved in Touchstone file format.
Scattering Parameters contain all essential electromagnetic effects as requested for accurate SI and EMC analyses. By means of the reflection and transmission factors coming along with Scattering Parameter files it is possible to investigate parasitic effects for all ports or pins of the device under investigation.
Before converting the Scattering Parameters into a Spice equivalent model all reflection or transmission curves can be viewed at a glance to proof their validity in the wanted frequency range. The built-in data editor allows for syntax changes or adding any comment lines.
The conversion itself is done with a few mouse clicks. All you need to do is to decide whether you want a fast, normal or the best conversion and if necessary to adjust the frequency range. Finally, with a further mouse click the Spice equivalent model will be created into your specified file. One of the outstanding features is that all converted data is automatically compared to the original Touchstone input file in the graphic view. This enables you to judge the accuracy of the Spice model and possibly to decide for a more accurate conversion. The generated Spice model will contain linear elements and controlled sources as well as two terminals for each port.
